Larry Yachcik accepted the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Porter Hills in January, 2008. He oversees operations of nine retirement communities in Kent County that serve 1,000 residents as well as an in-home care agency and other services.
Larry earned a B.S. in Business and Community Development from Central Michigan University and is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. He spent most of his career in for-profit long-term care and is a seasoned executive with a track record of providing high quality services in competitive and diverse markets. He has been described by his peers as caring, compassionate, open, tenacious and an effective leader.
Before joining Porter Hills, Larry served as Vice President of Corporate Operations for Tendercare Michigan, Inc., a Michigan-based for-profit organization comprised of 34 skilled nursing facilities and one assisted living facility, with 3,300 total employees. As a former Vice President Of Government Relations for the Health Care Association of Michigan (HCAM), Larry is knowledgeable and experienced in dealing with the regulatory and reimbursement environment in the State of Michigan.
Larry Yachcik retired from Porter Hills in September 2017.
