In 1995 Porter Hills Presbyterian Village, Inc. established the Porter Hills Foundation as a separate not-for-profit corporation with 501 (c)(3) status. The Foundation works to raise both friends and funds for the organization and serves as an umbrella over several charitable funds, including our Benevolent Funds and Wellness Center Endowment.

The Foundation is charged with a mission to raise, invest and monitor the funds that support Porter Hills Retirement Communities & Services in providing a continuum of high quality living environments and services. It's vision is to involve, through a financial commitment, those whose lives have been touched by Porter Hills and those who support its mission, vision, and values.

Beginning with nearly $3.5 million in assets, the Foundation’s asset base has now grown to over $20 million. This includes just over $10 million in our Benevolent Funds, from which we provide financial assistance to qualified residents who can no longer afford the cost of their care at Porter Hills.
