This award is presented by the Michigan Business and Professional Association and is based on several criteria. To be eligible, companies are first nominated by an employee. Once nominated, the company's Human Resources department completes a 15-page questionnaire on such topics as benefits offered and performance evaluation method, to name a few. Additionally, a random and confidential survey is completed by 10% of the company's employees. Porter Hills is the only organization dedicated to senior housing and services to receive this award five years in a row.
